Stephen Lynch, PhD is the AVP of Skincare Scientific Affairs for L’Oreal USA Research & Innovation where he has worked since 2014.  He leads a team which supports skincare product development from project initiation through market launch with a critical focus on communication of scientific knowledge, selection of active ingredients, coordination of testing, and substantiation of product claims.  Among his responsibilities are such well-known dermatological brands as SkinCeuticals, La Roche-Posay, and CeraVe.

Prior to joining L’Oreal, Stephen spent 10 years in the pharmaceutical industry conducting drug discovery research as a medicinal chemist with Roche and Purdue Pharma.  He holds a BS in Chemistry from University of Richmond and a PhD in Chemistry from Emory University.
