  • Glynis Ablon, MD

    Glynis Ablon, M.D., F.A.A.D., is a board certified dermatologist and cosmetic surgeon, who completed her training at Baylor School of Medicine in Houston, Texas.  Dr. Ablon is an Associate Clinical Professor at UCLA, practicing at both UCLA and LCMH.   She is active in clinical research and the first published author in the United States in mesotherapy.  Dr. Ablon is an on-camera medical consultant for The Doctors Show, E! Entertainment, Extra, ABC, CBS, KCAL and Lifetime.  She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Academy of Liposuction Surgery, American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and American Hair Research Society.  Dr. Ablon also received the IMCAS Research Award 2010 for innovative research on Botulinum Toxins.

  • Andrew F. Alexis, MD, MPH

    Andrew F. Alexis, MD, MPH is a Professor of Clinical Dermatology and Vice-Chair for Diversity and Inclusion at Weill Cornell Medicine in New York City. He is the former Chair of the Department of Dermatology at Mount Sinai Morningside and Mount Sinai West. Having served as Director of the first-of-its-kind Skin of Color Center for over 15 years, his work has helped to advance patient care, research, and education pertaining to dermatologic disorders that are prevalent in populations with skin of color.

  • Hilary Baldwin, MD

    Hilary Baldwin is a board-certified dermatologist and medical director of the Acne Treatment & Research Center in Brooklyn, NY. She is a clinical associate professor of dermatologist at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center. Dr. Baldwin has interests in acne, rosacea, keloidal scarring, cosmeceuticals and the skin microbiome. She is a frequent national and international lecturer and visiting professor, and her work has been published extensively in dermatology journals. Dr. Baldwin served as a founding board member and second president of the American Acne and Rosacea Society.

    Mimi is the Founder and CEO of MB Social, a full service social media agency, that specializes in beauty, luxury, wellness, lifestyle and fashion. She is based in LA and works with a fully remote team. She has more than 20 years of global experience in the beauty industry, notably in the US, France, and Israel. She spent the majority of her career at L’Oréal, where she led social media for Lancôme. She is a forward thinking and results-driven social media expert. She believes in community building through storytelling, authentic and relatable content, and real relationships.

  • Cheryl L. Barry, MS, LE

    Cheryl L. Barry, MS, LE

    Cheryl Barry is a health educator, licensed esthetician, and licensed esthetics instructor for the State of Washington with 30 of experience in medical skincare both in and out of the treatment room. Cheryl has specialized in finding unique ways to live out her passion for skin health by identifying what she loves and finding ways to create unique business opportunities In her current position as Director of Medical Affairs & Kol Engagement with Pierre Fabre, USA, she gets to dive into the science and is honored to work with top key opinion leaders across the country with the ultimate goal of helping more patients with inflammatory skin conditions.

  • Neal Bhatia, MD

    Dr. Neal Bhatia is a board-certified dermatologist in San Diego, California. He serves as Director of Clinical Dermatology at Therapeutics Clinical Research. He is chief medical editor for Practical Dermatology. He has a background in immunology and has interests in mechanisms of therapy, skin cancer, and medical dermatology.

  • Apple Bodemer, MD

    Apple Bodemer is a Professor of Dermatology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  She is Board Certified in Dermatology, Integrative Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine.  She is a core faculty for the Integrative Dermatology Certificate Program, Integrative Skin Health Series and the Integrative Esthetician Certificate Program through LearnSkin.  She has authored chapters on Integrative Dermatology in key textbooks and written curriculum for the University of Arizona Integrative Medicine program as well as for the National Veterans Association Whole Health Initiative. 

    She has worked with several media platforms and has worked with organizations including The Plantrician Project, The Food Revolution Network, and MindBodyGreen.

  • Whitney Bowe, MD

    Dr. Whitney Bowe is a renowned board-certified dermatologist, research scientist, founder + CEO of Dr. Whitney Bowe Beauty, and creator of the viral Skin Cycling Program. One of the most in-demand dermatologists in the country, Dr. Bowe's practice has been fully booked for over 7 years, and she is regularly invited to share her expertise on national platforms like Good Morning America, The New York Times, and Vogue.

  • Vivian Bucay, MD

    Recognized nationally and internationally for her expertise in her combination approach in minimally invasive facial rejuvenation, Dr. Bucay is considered to be one of the pre-eminent dermatologists in the country. Her credentials span a wide scope of biomedical research, patient care, and medical education. Passionate about skin wellness, Dr. Bucay has been featured as a skin expert in several publications, including Allure, Cosmetic Surgery Times, Elle, More, Shape, Prevention, New Beauty, Men's Health and Good Housekeeping. Since 2004, Dr. Bucay has been recognized yearly as a Texas Super Doctor by Texas Monthly Magazine. Dr. Bucay is a Distinguished Physician Member of the Liquid Face Lift Association and is the author or co-author of many publications and is involved in several studies evaluating emerging cosmeceuticals.

  • Christopher G. Bunick, MD, PhD

    Dr. Christopher Bunick is an Associate Professor of Dermatology and Translational Biomedicine at Yale University School of Medicine. Clinically, he specializes in general medical dermatology and dermatologic surgery. He also performs unique dermatologic research studying the three-dimensional structures of skin-related proteins using x-ray crystallography and cryo-electron microscopy. Dr. Bunick received his B.S. at Vanderbilt University (Nashville, TN), and his M.D. and Ph.D. degrees at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. His PhD research studied the three-dimensional structures of calcium-binding proteins and proteins involved in DNA repair processes (e.g. the skin disease xeroderma pigmentosum). He completed medical internship, dermatology residency, and a dermatology research fellowship (mentored by Nobel Laureate Dr. Thomas A. Steitz) at the Yale University School of Medicine (New Haven, CT). He performs lab research with the goal of better understanding the structure-function relationship of proteins involved in normal and diseased skin and dermatologic therapeutics. His work emphasizes translation of biochemical and structural research findings into clinically meaningful and practice-changing discoveries. His work to date has advanced the field’s understanding of: (i) the molecular mechanisms of the human skin barrier; (ii) assembly mechanisms of intermediate filaments, like keratin and vimentin, leading to patents for new cytoskeleton-targeted therapeutics; (iii) the biochemical basis for antibiotic activity and resistance in Cutibacterium acnes and acne vulgaris; (iv) the structure-function relationships of anti-IL23 psoriasis biologics and how that impacts clinical efficacy; (v) the structure-function relationships of multiple dermatologic therapeutics, including atopic dermatitis biologics, Janus kinase inhibitors, PDE4 inhibitors, and more. Chris’ research has pioneered a new focus in dermatology on fundamental biochemistry and structural biology, particularly around connecting the atomic resolution mechanisms of action of a therapeutic to its clinical performance and safety. Complementing his basic science research, Chris has and continues to lead multiple dermatology clinical trials at the Yale Center for Clinical Investigation.

  • Suneel Chilukuri, MD, FASDS, FASLMS

    Dr. Suneel Chilukuri is an internationally recognized cosmetic dermatologic surgeon specializing in the C-Lift, a non-surgical facelift technique. He is known for creating innovative techniques to fully restore and enhance the face and body without surgery. Most recently he received a national award for Nonsurgical Body Contouring utilizing his signature Silhouette Body Procedure. As a sought-after speaker at both international and national conferences regarding cosmetic surgery, he has taught at more than 400 aesthetic seminars.

  • Raj Chovatiya, MD, PhD, MSCI

    Raj Chovatiya, MD, PhD, MSCI is Clinical Associate Professor at Rosalind Franklin University Chicago Medical School and Founder and Director of the Center for Medical Dermatology + Immunology Research in Chicago, Illinois. His clinical and research focus includes the intersection of cutaneous immunology and inflammatory disease. He received his MD and PhD in immunology from Yale and completed his residency, postdoctoral research fellowship, and MS in Clinical Investigation at Northwestern University where he also served as Chief Resident. Dr. Chovatiya has a particular interest in optimizing patient-centered care, understanding chronic disease burden especially in understudied inflammatory diseases, exploring health and social disparities, and improving care across diverse skin types. He has published numerous abstracts and manuscripts and has been nationally and internationally recognized for his contributions as a clinician, educator, researcher, and leader.

  • Doris Day, MD

    Doris Day, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist who specializes in cosmetic and dermatology on the Upper East Side in New York City. She is a clinical associate professor of dermatology at the New York University Medical Center where she was presented with the award for Dedication and Excellence in the Teaching of Dermatology. She has also won the American Skin Association award for mentorship in dermatology and the AAD Presidential Citation in recognition of her dedication and leadership in the field of aesthetic dermatology. She was most recently named by Newsweek as the #3 top cosmetic dermatologist in the US.

    She has won awards for her work in laser research and continues to actively participate in FDA clinical research trials and publish in peer reviewed medical journals. Dr. Day regularly lectures nationally and internationally to her peers and the public. She is an active member of many organizations including the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, the American Academy of Dermatology and the Women’s Dermatologic Society.

    Dr. Day also has a master’s degree in medical journalism and is host of the Dermatology Show on Doctor Radio on Sirius/XM 110 for over 15 years and has frequent appearances on many national media outlets and podcasts. She is the author of four books, her most recent book is Rebooting the Biome.

  • James Q. Del Rosso, DO, FAOCD, FAAD

    Dr. James Q. Del Rosso, DO, FAOCD, FAAD, was born in Brooklyn, New York, and attended pharmacy school at St. John's University in Jamaica, New York. He completed a hospital pharmacy residency at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Del Rosso graduated from medical school at Ohio University with honors and then completed his approved dermatology residency at the Atlantic Skin Disease Association in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

  • Seemal R. Desai, MD

    Dr. Seemal Desai is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, and a Board Certified Dermatologist. He graduated with honors from Emory University. He received his medical training at Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia, and received his Doctor of Medicine degree with Magna Cum Laude with honors.

    Following medical school, Dr. Desai completed his medical internship in Internal Medicine. He then went on to complete his residency at The University of Alabama at Birmingham and served as Chief Resident for the Department of Dermatology.

    Dr. Desai has been active on a local, state, and national level with numerous medical organizations, and is also actively involved in teaching and mentoring medical students and residents. He is the Founder & Medical Director of Innovative Dermatology, a state-of-the-art private practice in the Dallas area, and also serves as Clinical Associate Professor of Dermatology at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. 

  • Zoe Draelos, MD

    Zoe Diana Draelos, MD, is a research and clinical board-certified dermatologist. In 1988, she founded Dermatology Consulting Services, PLLC, to initiate and perform research in the cosmetic, OTC drug, and pharmaceutical arenas. She received the prestigious Maison deNavarre award from the Society of Cosmetic Chemists for her contributions to the art and science of cosmetics in 2017. In 2019, she was the inaugural recipient of the Florence Wall Award from the Society of Cosmetics Chemists honoring her as the most influential woman in cosmetic science.

  • Carl D’Ruiz, MPH

    Carl D’Ruiz is a recognized leader in photoprotection, championing sun protection, skin cancer prevention, and holistic skin wellness for over 30 years. As Head of North America Beauty & Care Business Development at dsm-firmenich, he merges cutting-edge science with real-world solutions to advance skin health. A Yale-trained public health professional, Carl is currently pursuing FDA approval for the first new sunscreen filter in 26 years—through DSM’s OMOR submission for PARSOL® Shield (Bemotrizinol)— and advocates for U.S. sunscreen innovation via modern non-animal testing and risk assessment approaches. He supports The Skin Cancer Foundation’s free screening initiatives and serves on industry committees shaping regulatory standards. Through dsm-firmenich’s Design2Market program, Carl leverages cutting-edge innovations—senolytics, exosomes, NAD+ modulators, neurocosmetics, and dermo-cosmetics—to deliver clinically backed solutions.   • Cheri Frey, MD

    Dr. Cheri Frey is an assistant professor of dermatology at Howard University, where she also serves as the Residency Program Director, Skin of Color Research Fellowship Co-director, Beacon of Hope Fellow in Clinical Trials, and Director of Cosmetic Dermatology.

    Dr. Frey was born in Washington, DC. She was a National Achievement Scholar, earning a full merit scholarship to Iowa State University where she graduated with distinction. Dr. Frey earned her medical degree from the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine and completed her internal medicine internship and dermatology residency at the University of Florida. Dr. Frey served as chief resident and was a recipient of the Outstanding Resident Teacher Award as an intern and dermatology resident.

  • Michael H. Gold, MD

    Dr. Michael H. Gold is the founder of Gold Skin Care Center, Advanced Aesthetics Medical Spa, The Laser & Rejuvenation Center, and Tennessee Clinical Research Center located in Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Gold is also a
    Clinical Assistant Professor at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing and an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Meharry Medical College, School of Medicine, which is also in Nashville. He is a Visiting Professor of Dermatology for Huashan Hospital, Fudan University in Shanghai, China (11/2006), Guangdong Provincial People’s Hospital, Guangzhou, China, as well as a Visiting Professor of Dermatology at Number One Hospital of China Medical University (11/2008) in Shenyang, China.

    Dr. Gold is a board-certified dermatologist and cosmetic surgeon who oversees the various facets of the Center’s operations: a combination of medical and surgical dermatology, cosmetic dermatology, aesthetic services, and research endeavors. Dr. Gold has earned a national and international reputation for providing patients with leading-edge technological advances and has expertise in all facets of dermatology and aesthetic care. The Tennessee Clinical Research Center is now one of the leading dermatologic research institutions in the U.S. Dr. Gold speaks on national and international fronts, focusing on dermatology issues related to the use of lasers and energy-based devices, as well as the use of fillers and toxins in aesthetic and cosmetic dermatology. He lectures in venues around the world and is a sought-after contributor to educational meetings globally.

  • David J. Goldberg, MD, JD

    Dr. Goldberg earned his medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine. He completed his dermatology residency and dermatologic surgical fellowship at New York University Medical Center. He has served as President as well as Chairman of both the Ethics and International Committees of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS). Dr. Goldberg was the first ever recipient of the ASLMS Leon Goldman award named after the founder of laser medicine. He is past Chair of the Ethics Committee of both the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Lasers in Medicine and Surgery. He has also been a member of the Board of Directors of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS), American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) and the American Society for Lasers in Medicine and Surgery. Dr. Goldberg is a Clinical Professor of Dermatology and former Director of Laser Research and Mohs Surgery at NY’s Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He is also Clinical Professor of Dermatology and Chief of Dermatologic Surgery at UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School. He has published over 200 peer-reviewed manuscripts and is author and/or editor of 15 books on Laser Hair Removal; Ablative and Non-ablative Skin Rejuvenation; Photodamaged Skin, Complications in Cutaneous Laser Surgery, Acne, Rosacea, Fat and Cellulite Treatments as well as Dermal Fillers in Dermatology.

    Dr. Goldberg has performed pivotal research studies in the areas of laser hair removal, non-ablative skin treatments, cellulite and skin tightening, erectile rejuvenation, dermal fillers, new botulinum toxins and exosomes . He is on the editorial boards of the Lasers in Surgery and Medicine and Dermatologic Surgery. He has served as Senior Chief-Editor of the Journal of Cosmetic and Laser Therapy. Dr. Goldberg is also an attorney having graduated from NY’s Fordham University School of Law where he taught Health  Care Law for 20 yearsFinally, in 2020, Dr. Goldberg merged his 3 office practice with the Schweiger Dermatology Group (SDG). SDG is one of the largest dermatology groups in the US.. Dr. Goldberg currently serves as the Director of Cosmetic Dermatology and Clinical Research and Chair of the Cosmeceutical Committee for their offices throughout the US.

  • Barbara Green, RPh, MS

    Barbara Green is Head of Global Upstream Research, Skin Health & Beauty, Kenvue where she is responsible for global scientific strategy and technology innovation to enable a compelling product and science pipeline for the company’s skin health and hair brands including Neutrogena®, Aveeno® Dr.CI:Labo® and OGX®.  She is responsible to build internal and external research capabilities ensuring leading-edge, differentiated and ownable ingredient/technology claims and publishable, robust science.   Barbara joined Kenvue after being acquired into Johnson & Johnson as part of the NeoStrata Company acquisition in 2016 where she led R&D and the development of the company’s patented skincare technology including alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs, e.g., glycolic acid) and polyhydroxy acids (PHAs).  She has a long history of developing scientifically-rigorous and novel products and science, and sharing externally through publications, book chapters and presentations. She is a graduate of Rutgers University, College of Pharmacy and earned a Master of Science degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry. She is a registered pharmacist in the state of New Jersey and maintains an industrial advisory position with the Rutgers University Professional Science Master’s Program. 

  • Pearl E. Grimes, MD

    Dr. Pearl Grimes is the Founder and Director of the Vitiligo and Pigmentation Institute of Southern California and Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the David Geffen School of Medicine, University of California – Los Angeles. She is a pioneer and a leading international authority on vitiligo and pigmentary disorders. Dr. Grimes is the current President of the Global Vitiligo Foundation. The Foundation has recently launched Camp Victory for Children with Vitiligo as well as the Vitiligo Physician Education Summit and a global support platform connecting vitiligo patients around the world.

  • Leslie Ann Hall

    Leslie Ann Hall is the CEO and Founder of Iced Media, the agency she made famous for helping to build, grow and exit some of the most beloved beauty brands in the world. She has guided Iced Media to become peerless in its acumen using content, creators and media in paid social. Leslie is the foremost expert on social media advertising and social commerce in the beauty industry.

    For two decades, brands ranging from L’Oreal, Neutrogena, Paula’s Choice, Moroccanoil, SkinCeuticals, Glow Recipe, Anastasia Beverly Hills and so many more have relied on Leslie and Iced Media to compete and win in the increasingly saturated beauty, wellness and lifestyle categories.

  • Julie Harper, MD

    Dr. Julie Harper is a board-certified dermatologist, Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the owner of the Dermatology and Skin Care Center of Birmingham in Birmingham, Alabama. Dr. Harper is a Founding Director of the American Acne and Rosacea Society, which was organized in 2005, and served as the organization’s President from 2017-2019. She has published and lectured on the subjects of acne and rosacea nationally and internationally.

  • Robert Kirsner, MD, PhD

    Dr. Kirsner is Professor, Chairman, and the endowed Harvey Blank Chair in the Dr. Phillip Frost Dermatology in the Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery and Professor of Public Health Sciences at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.  He is Chief of Dermatology at the University of Miami Hospital and Clinics and Jackson Memorial Hospital and directs the University of Miami Hospital Wound Center.  Dr. Kirsner received his undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University, his medical degree from the University of Miami and a PhD in epidemiology from the University of Miami, after he completed his clinical training.  His clinical training included internal medicine, a clinical and research fellowship in wound healing and dermatology at the University of Miami.  His research interests include Wound Healing and Skin Cancer Epidemiology.  Dr. Kirsner serves as one of 3 academic editors for the journal Wound Repair and Regeneration and on the editorial boards for several other journals in dermatology and wound healing.  Dr. Kirsner serves in national leadership positions in both Wound Healing and Dermatology, including being immediate Vice President of the American Academy of Dermatology and serving as Vice President of the Wound Healing (he will President in 2026).  In addition to career development awards, foundation, industry sponsored funding and CDC funding, he currently leads or is part of several NIH funded grants.  Independent of books, book chapters and abstracts, he has published over 600 articles.

  • Karan Lal, DO, MS, FAAD

    Karan Lal, D.O., F.A.A.D., is a native New Yorker now living in Scottsdale, Arizona. He practices in both Scottsdale and New York. Dr. Lal is the only double fellowship trained pediatric and cosmetic dermatologist in the USA. He is a key opinion leader and international speaker with interests including social media medicine, LGBTQ health, eczema, psoriasis, vitiligo, laser surgery, melasma, and soft tissue augmentation. He is the chair of the social media committee for the Society of Pediatric dermatology and is on the ASDS DEI committee. Dr. Lal is often seen either on the news, at F45, or playing with his parrot Maui.

  • Peter Lio, MD

    Peter Lio, MD, FAAD is a Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology & Pediatrics at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Dr. Lio received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School, completed his internship in Pediatrics at Boston Children’s Hospital, and his Dermatology training at Harvard where he served as Chief Resident in Dermatology. While at Harvard, he received formal training in acupuncture. Dr. Lio is the founding director of the Chicago Integrative Eczema Center and a founding partner of Medical Dermatology Associates of Chicago. He serves as a board member and scientific advisory committee member emeritus for the National Eczema Association. He is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology’s Atopic Dermatitis Expert Resource Group and a founding faculty member of the Integrative Dermatology Certificate Program. He has over 300 publications and 3 textbooks.

  • Jenny Liu, MD

    Dr. Jenny Liu is a board-certified dermatologist, an assistant professor, a mother of two, and married to an ENT surgeon. She’s passionate about medical education. She practices medical and cosmetic dermatology, serving a large skin of color population, which is also an interest of her’s. She loves skin and haircare, watching K dramas, and cooking for her family.

  • Stephen Lynch, PhD

    Stephen Lynch, PhD is AVP and Head of Skincare Scientific Valorization for L’Oreal USA Research & Innovation where he has worked since 2014.  He leads a team which supports skincare product development from project initiation through market launch with a critical focus on communication of scientific knowledge, selection of active ingredients, coordination of testing, and substantiation of product claims.  Among his responsibilities are such well-known dermatological brands as SkinCeuticals, La Roche-Posay, Skinbetter Science and CeraVe. 

     Prior to joining L’Oreal, Stephen spent 10 years in the pharmaceutical industry conducting drug discovery research as a medicinal chemist.  He holds a BS in Chemistry from University of Richmond and a PhD in Chemistry from Emory University.

  • Prithwiraj Maitra, PhD

    Dr. Maitra is currently Vice President of  Global Skincare R&D at Allergan Aesthetics (Abbvie) providing strategic leadership for all functions within skincare R&D. Dr. Maitra joined Allergan in 2019 and has been responsible for driving new product development and pipeline innovation for SkinMedica and DiamondGlow brands has been instrumental in several recent launches, including Even & Correct, Firm & Tone, Neck Correct, and TNS A+. Prithwi is passionate about shaping the future of evidence based skincare by studying the regenerative & protective processes in skin.

    Prior to AbbVie, Prithwi held various R&D leadership roles at Johnson & Johnson over 10 years, leading upstream innovation for global beauty brands, and prior to that was a postdoctoral fellow at Colgate Palmolive, working in oral care products.  He received his Ph.D. in Polymer Chemistry from Temple University and Executive Leadership certification from MIT Sloan School of Business & Wharton, UPenn. Prithwi is author of several peer reviewed publications and book chapters and is a named inventor on over 80+ patents and pending applications.

  • Kavita Mariwalla, MD

    Dr. Kavita Mariwalla is a board certified dermatologist and nationally recognized key opinion leader in dermatology and dermatologic surgery.  Her expertise is in the areas of anti-aging procedures and skin cancer treatment. She is sought after for opinions on cosmetic formulations and is regularly invited as a featured speaker in the United States and overseas.

    Prior to starting her own private practice, Dr. Mariwalla was the Director of Cutaneous Oncology at St. Luke’s – Roosevelt and Beth Israel Medical Centers in New York.   • Rahul Mehta, PhD

    Dr. Rahul C. Mehta received his Doctorate in Pharmaceutical Sciences at West Virginia University, USA and his Bachelors of Pharmacy from the University of Bombay. He has over 35 years of experience in pharmaceutical research and development including 6 years of academic research. He has authored or co-authored over 80 research publications and book chapters, over 200 poster presentations and multiple patents in pharmaceutical sciences. Dr. Mehta is currently Co-Founder and CEO of a biopharma company applying learnings from longevity science to dermatology and aesthetic medicine. Prior to that he was part of the SkinMedica team since 2005 and is committed to the creation of holistic multi-modality evidence-based skincare products with strong biological and clinical support.     Natasha Atanaskova Mesinkovska, MD, PHD is a prolific writer, speaker and researcher. She is a Mayo Clinic and Cleveland Clinic trained dermatologist and dermatopathologist who currently serves as the Vice Chair, Clinical Research, Department of Dermatology, University of California, Irvine, CA. She runs a busy clinical research unit, and is dedicated to alopecia, aging and inflammatory disorders research.     Mark S. Nestor, MD, PhD, FAAD is a board certified Dermatologist and serves as Director of the Center for Clinical and Cosmetic Research™ and the Center for Cosmetic Enhancement®, Aventura, Florida. He is a Voluntary Professor in the Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery and the Department of Surgery, Division of Plastic Surgery at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine.     Julia Oh received her B.A. from Harvard University, her Ph.D. in genetics from Stanford University, and postdoctoral training at the National Institutes of Health. She is now a professor at Duke University. Dr. Oh is a microbiome expert with a focus on combining high-resolution computational reconstructions of the microbiome with microbial engineering to devise innovative approaches to create new therapeutic interventions and investigate the underlying ecology of skin microbial communities.

    Dustin Portela, DO, is a Board Certified Dermatologist and Dermatologic Surgeon. He is certified through the American Board of Dermatology, the largest national group of board certified dermatologists. His professional interests include skin cancer surgery and facial reconstruction, skin cancer prevention, and medical dermatology.

    Following medical school Dr. Portela completed his internship through Michigan State University at the Oakwood Southshore Hospital.     Dr. Rubin received her undergraduate degree with honors from Stanford University, and her medical degree from Harvard Medical School.     Dr. Todd Schlesinger is a board-certified dermatologist, Mohs surgeon and clinical investigator. He completed his residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and is the founder of a three-office dermatology and dermatologic surgery practice (now part of Epiphany Dermatology) and clinical research center.   • Eugenia Trushina, PhD

    Dr. Trushina is a Professor in the Department of Neurology and the Department of Molecular Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics at the Mayo Clinic Rochester, MN. She received her doctoral degree in organic chemistry from Saratov State University in Russia. Dr. Trushina completed her postdoctoral training at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester studying redox chemistry related to nitric oxide and mechanisms of mitochondrial dynamics and function in Huntington’s Disease. Dr. Trushina translational research program is focused on the mechanisms of neurodegenerative diseases, particularly as they intersect with studies on aging and metabolic disorders, and mitochondria-targeted therapeutics. Her group developed neuroprotective treatment for Alzheimer’s Disease, which resulted in four US Patents.
